To celebrate Hunger
Doesn't Take a Vacation, Kenora musicians* are jamming to
harvest your help as Minto women build their Food Security.
- The Dinner Jackets - Mike Procyshyn - Shane Taite - Jon Thompson ALL funds raised will support a fantastic program at the Minto Parent Child Resource Centre called Women's Kitchen. Women's Kitchen teaches women in the neighbourhood how to cook with healthy, raw ingredients for their families. The start you can give them in learning to cook with rice, lentils and fresh vegetables builds lasting skills, helps to cut down on the expensive cost of groceries, and gets women together talking about food and solutions for their community. If you can't make it to the show or you're leary about live music because a musician once shot your Pa in an old west style duel, consider donating to the resource centre directly. Your donation won't just help to get healthy food on the tables of marginalized families in Minto. It will build real and lasting wealth. Donations of canned goods for the Salvation Army Food Hampers will also be accepted with optional free hugs from the bands. The word will get out if you repost or invite your friends! This is how easy it is to make a difference! *In cahoots with Making Kenora Home, The Northwest Legal Clinic, The Salvation Army, Kenora Fellowship Centre, and in solidarity with people pounding the streets for grassroots empowerment around the world. |
